Eszter Voros leads the Zuora University team, the function responsible for product education across Zuora's product suite including Billing, Revenue, Payments, CPQ, Zephr, and Platform. The team serves three audiences in parallel: customers learning how to operate the product, partners delivering implementations, and Zuora's own employees. Under her leadership, a team of four visual designers and five instructional designers builds long-form learning paths, courses ranging from thirty minutes to two hours, and certification programs tied directly to Zuora's core products. Roughly seventy percent of the content is product demos recorded from live environments, woven together with educational design elements that guide learners through every feature and release.

The Challenge

Before Trupeer, the demo recording workflow was fragmented in a way that quietly drained the team's bandwidth. Instructional designers would record silent screen captures while the script was written separately, then the two pieces had to be stitched back together, a process that introduced sync issues and forced repeated rounds of editing between voiceover and recording.

The earlier, pre-AI version of the workflow was even harder: the person recording had to write the script, perform the voiceover live, and re-record any time they made a mistake. A single video could take five to eight hours, sometimes a full day, with the timeline largely dictated by the recorder's anxiety level rather than the complexity of the material. Even after Zuora moved to AI-generated voiceover, a single demo still took two to three hours from start to first cut.

How Trupeer Fits In

Trupeer is now the daily tool for every demo video the team produces. The workflow is simple in a way it never was before: instructional designers plan the demo, record themselves walking through the product with a raw, unscripted or lightly scripted voiceover, and upload the file to Trupeer. The first version of the polished video, with script, voice, and visuals aligned, comes back in five to ten minutes.

The scripting anxiety is gone. The sync problems are gone. Instructional designers no longer need to write a full script before they record; they explain what they are doing as they go, and Trupeer handles the rest. Visual designers still pick up the final cut for course-grade polish, adding the educational design elements that turn a demo into a learning module, but the heavy lifting at the start of the pipeline has effectively disappeared.

What They've Built

On the back of this workflow, Zuora University now hosts more than 1,500 videos across its learning paths, courses, and certification programs, with the demo layer running almost entirely through Trupeer. The time per demo has collapsed from two to three hours down to five to ten minutes for the first version, and the team is redirecting the freed-up hours toward personalised, customer-specific training built on top of the same core demos.

Zuora is also extending the pattern beyond the University. The same Trupeer-grounded video library is being wired into Zuora's in-product help function and the Zuora University AI learning assistant, so customers can get short, instant guide videos directly inside the product instead of just citing documentation articles. What is coming next is exactly that: connecting video production to the source itself, so that demos can be generated directly from product changes rather than recorded by a person at all.
