End User Readiness Assessment Before Go-Live
Run a free end user readiness assessment before go-live. Score each role's readiness from training, approved process guides, proficiency, confidence, help and access, by role and application.
Run a free end user readiness assessment before go-live: choose the application and role, rate training, approved process guides, proficiency, confidence, help and access, and see whether that group is ready, at risk or not ready.
Go-live decisions usually rest on technical readiness and a training completion figure. Neither tells you whether the accounts payable team can post an invoice in the new system on Monday morning, or whether approvers know where their approvals have moved. An end user readiness assessment checks the thing that matters: whether each group of users can do their real work in the new application, using the approved process content, from day one.
What is an end user readiness assessment?
An end user readiness assessment measures whether the people who will use a new system are ready to work in it before go-live. It looks beyond attendance to the evidence of readiness: completed role-based training, approved process guides for every task, task-based proficiency checks, user confidence, knowing where to get help and tested system access. Results are shown by role and application, so you can see which groups are ready and which need help before go-live.
How the end user readiness assessment works
Choose the application and role, such as daily transactional users of your ERP, approvers in your HR system or occasional users of your CRM.
Rate six readiness factors for that role: training, approved process guides, proficiency, confidence, help and access.
See the readiness level and top actions straight away: ready, at risk or not ready, with the gaps to close first.

The six end user readiness factors
Factor | What ready looks like | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
Role-based training | Users have completed the learning path for their role | Gives them the basics before go-live |
Approved process guides | Every task the role performs has an approved guide or short video | Gives them something to follow on day one |
Task-based proficiency | Users have passed a short check on their key tasks | Shows they can do the work, not just that they attended |
Confidence | Users say they feel confident doing their first tasks | Low confidence predicts tickets and workarounds |
Help | Users know exactly where to get help | Reduces lost time and repeated questions |
Access | Roles and access have been tested for every user | Prevents day-one login and permission failures |
The assessment weights factors by role: proficiency and approved guides matter most for daily transactional users, while guides and help matter most for occasional users.
Why score readiness from approved process content
Readiness should be measured against the processes users will actually run, not a generic course. When guides and videos are built from the approved, configured process, two things become possible: users learn exactly what they'll do on go-live day, and you can check readiness task by task against that content. Gaps in content show up as gaps in readiness before users hit them in production.
End user readiness by role
Role | What to check most closely |
|---|---|
Daily transactional users | Proficiency on high-volume and high-risk tasks; guides for exceptions |
Approvers and managers | Where approvals now live; mobile and email approval steps |
Occasional users | Short guides for the one or two tasks they do; where to get help |
Super users | Deep proficiency; troubleshooting; how to escalate |
For how super users support their teams through go-live, see how to run a super user training program.
Using readiness results in the go/no-go decision
Agree thresholds for each role before the final month, such as which roles must be "ready" for go-live.
Review readiness weekly by role and application, and daily in the final week.
Act on "at risk" groups early with targeted guides, practice sessions or extra super user cover.
Combine readiness with the rest of the checklist, including technical, data, testing and cutover items; build it with the ERP go-live readiness checklist builder.
After go-live: from readiness to adoption
Readiness predicts go-live day; adoption shows whether it worked. Track active use, process compliance, tickets by role and time to proficiency after go-live; see end user adoption metrics that matter.

How Trupeer helps users get go-live ready
Readiness gap | How Trupeer helps |
|---|---|
No approved guides for some tasks | Record each task once in the configured system, and Trupeer turns it into a step-by-step guide and narrated video |
Low confidence | Short, task-sized videos users can rewatch as often as they need |
Users don't know where to get help | Publish every guide in one searchable knowledge base, linked from the application |
Global users | Translate guides and videos from one source |
Content changes late | Update by editing the script or replacing a single step |
For the full training plan behind readiness, use the ERP end user training plan template.
Genpact used Trupeer for a company-wide Workday rollout, turning recorded process sessions into more than 500 training collaterals across 20 workstreams in five languages, for 140,000 employees in 40 countries, in 3 months instead of 12. Read the Genpact customer story.

What is an end user readiness assessment?
It measures whether the people who will use a new system are ready before go-live, using evidence such as role-based training, approved process guides, proficiency checks, confidence, help and tested access, shown by role and application.
How is end user readiness different from training completion?
Completion shows people attended. Readiness shows they can do their real tasks in the new system, which needs approved guides for every task and a task-based proficiency check.
How do you assess end user readiness before go-live?
Choose each application and role, rate training, approved guides, proficiency, confidence, help and access, and review the results weekly in the final months, acting on at-risk groups early.
Which roles should be assessed first?
Daily transactional users of high-risk processes, such as finance, payroll and order management, followed by approvers, super users and occasional users.
Is the end user readiness assessment free?
Yes. The role-level assessment is free. Sign up to score every user, role and application and track readiness week by week.
